Requirements

  • B Ticket with A classification
  • Crane and forklift certification
  • Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets
  • Experience working in a clean, industrial shop environment
  • Familiarity with plasma cutting operations
  • Previous experience working independently within a team setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding of specialty materials including pressure pipe using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques, following welding procedures and interpreting weld symbols accurately.
  • Daily tasks include working independently in your own weld booth with pipe rollers, roller stands, and positioners to achieve precise welds.
  • Evaluate worn or defective parts for repair, build up worn areas as required, and fabricate specialty tools in a clean shop environment.
  • Participate in crew talks, receive assigned work from lead hand, and support other trades as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and weld buildup, and complete procedure tests to meet required welding standards.
