About The Position

JB Harris Transport LLC is seeking a certified welder to maintain the safety and integrity of its fleet and equipment. The role involves repair, maintenance, and fabrication work on company vehicles, heavy equipment, and attachments for heavy machinery and equipment. The welder is expected to produce quality welds, maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and work effectively with the maintenance team in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Certification in welding from a recognized institution.
At least 3 years of experience in a welding role.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform welding repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, trailers, trucks, and other equipment as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine welding requirements.
Complete welding jobs in a timely manner and meet company quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Inspect welds to ensure durability and safety.
Work with the maintenance team to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with welding techniques and safety protocols.
