About The Position

The Welder/Fabricator builds and repairs crane structures, booms, and components used to lift heavy loads on job sites. The role works alongside crane technicians, mechanics, and engineers, contributing directly to equipment safety and performance.

Requirements

At least 3 years of welding experience.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Experience in structural welding and metal fabrication.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and AWS standards.
Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to handle heavy materials and work at heights and in confined spaces.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience in crane manufacturing, crane repair, or heavy equipment.
Technical welding certification.
AWS certification.

Responsibilities

Weld and fabricate crane structures, booms, and structural components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Use MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required by the job.
Inspect and repair structural components to meet safety and industry standards.
Operate grinders, torches, cutting equipment, and other shop tools.
Maintain welding equipment and tools to keep them operating efficiently.
Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and engineers to diagnose issues and solve problems.
Follow safety protocols, including PPE requirements and OSHA guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
