About The Position

Labor Finders is looking to fill Welder positions. Welders join, fabricate, and repair metal components using techniques including MIG, TIG, stick (SMAW), arc, and flux-core welding. The role involves interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and welding procedure specifications (WPS) to achieve precise measurements and welds that meet specifications. Welders operate and maintain welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, torches, consumables, and gas systems, and inspect finished work for structural integrity and compliance.

The work may take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces, and in noisy, hot, or hazardous environments requiring daily personal protective equipment. Requirements

• Skill in joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Experience operating welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Set up and operate MIG, TIG, stick (SMAW), and flux-core welding equipment.
• Select torches, tips, filler metals, shielding gases, and welding parameters based on WPS and material type.
• Cut, braze, or solder metal parts when required.
• Detect faulty equipment operation and notify supervisors.
• Record production or operational data when required.
• Inspect and maintain welding machines, torches, consumables, and gas systems.
• Inspect finished products for structural integrity and compliance with specifications.
