About The Position
This position will be for a temp to hire for second shift only. Normal hours for second shift are 6:00pm to 6:00am, a 12hr shift, five days a week, Mon - Fri. The worker will start on day shift to clear required safety training, 6am-6pm, Mon-Fri. The focus of experience of welding is being able to weld an open root 1/8” Tig weld, auto Mig and Sub Arc. It will be on a 22” to 38” diameter pipe with 2” wall thickness. The job purpose is to ensure welding operating tasks and activities within a time frame in agreement with the objectives fixed in terms of performance, quality, and safety, or to ensure supervision of a team of welders.
Requirements
- Ability to weld an open root 1/8” Tig weld
- Ability to perform auto Mig welding
- Ability to perform Sub Arc welding
- Experience welding on 22” to 38” diameter pipe
- Experience welding pipe with 2” wall thickness
Responsibilities
- Ensure welding operating tasks and activities within a time frame in agreement with the objectives fixed in terms of performance, quality, and safety
- Ensure supervision of a team of welders
