About The Position

Accelevation’s Welder-Trainee is an entry-level position for people with little to no prior welding experience who want to begin a welding career. The trainee learns to perform MIG welds and build steel assemblies in preparation for a Production Welder role. The position offers an alternative to attending a traditional welding school program. Trainees complete a four-week, hands-on course led by an Accelevation School of Welding instructor. The course covers welding safety and machine setup, introduces basic welds during the first week, provides practice welding components in weeks two and three, and concludes with a simulated assembly-line experience in week four. Training includes setting up parts for welding; using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Successful completion transitions trainees into a Welder I position on first, second, or weekend shift. The role is located in Miamisburg, Ohio. Trainees train on first shift. After the course, the company is looking to fill second-shift and weekend-shift positions, with first shift also listed as a possible placement. First shift is Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m.; second shift is Monday–Thursday, 4 p.m.–2:30 a.m. (the posting lists “2:230am”); and weekend shift is Friday–Sunday, 6 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
