About The Position

The Welder's primary responsibility is TIG and MIG welding of aluminum and steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area. This role involves repairing and fabricating various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques. The position requires preparing, assembling, and tack welding parts and surfaces. Maintaining and cleaning equipment and the work area is also a key part of the role. The job is full-time, with an expected 40 hours per week, and is located in person.

Requirements

  • Welding experience using Tig/Mig Welder and adjusting amps on the welding machine.
  • Must be able to use 1-2 lbs. hammer.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform the job in a standing position for a length of shift.
  • This is semi-strenuous work requiring good correct vision, lifting, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, pulling, tuning, and walking from one workstation to another.
  • All safety procedures must be followed and equipment worn properly.
  • MIG: 1 year (Required)
  • TIG Welding: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
  • Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Pays attention to the machine you are operating & make sure it is operating properly. Notify your supervisor as soon as you notice the machine not operating properly.
  • If at any time you are unsure what to do or use ask your supervisor.
