Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Multi-process welding experience
  • Ability to read technical documents and procedures
  • Strong safety focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime and obtain equipment certifications
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 4 in Graphic Literacy, 5 on Applied Mathematics and 5 on Workplace Documents to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien. The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) must be uploaded with your resume during your application to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety standards (company, OSHA, MSHA) and PPE requirements
  • Perform welding using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SAW
  • Repair and maintain equipment and structures
  • Interpret blueprints, job plans, and welding procedures
  • Prepare materials and perform quality weld inspections
  • Operate shop/field equipment (cranes, forklifts, cutting tools)
  • Support rigging, preventative maintenance, and mechanical tasks
  • Work in elevated, confined, and outdoor environments
  • Complete required training, certifications, and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safe, efficient execution
