About The Position
Mako Industries is hiring a dependable Welder Helper to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will assist welders with material preparation, cutting, staging, measuring, and general shop duties.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of measurements and hand tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Previous fabrication or welding shop experience preferred.
- Welding experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Cut metal and other fabrication materials according to required measurements.
- Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication.
- Stage and organize materials for welders and fabrication jobs.
- Assist welders with positioning and handling materials.
- Use tape measures, squares, and other basic measuring tools.
- Assist with grinding, cleaning, and preparing metal surfaces.
- Load, unload, and move materials safely around the shop.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow shop drawings, instructions, and all safety procedures.
