About The Position
We are seeking experienced Structural Welders for our Fabrication Shop in Sugar Land, TX. This role involves performing 3G and 4G welding, with a focus on MIG (downhill) and Flux core (uphill) techniques for vertical and overhead open root welds. The position requires flexibility in working hours, typically 40-50 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on production needs. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of Saturday work and flexibility for extended hours.
Requirements
- Must pass a 3G and 4G welding test.
- Knowledge of MIG (downhill) welding.
- Knowledge of Flux core (uphill) welding.
- Experience with vertical and overhead welding.
- Experience with open root welding.
- Ability to fill and cap welds with Flux Core.
Responsibilities
- Perform 3G and 4G welding.
- Utilize MIG (downhill) and Flux core (uphill) welding techniques.
- Weld vertical and overhead open root joints.
- Complete open root welds with MIG and fill/cap with Flux Core.
- Be flexible with working hours based on production demands.
