About The Position
Barron Industries, a leading investment casting and precision machining company serving the aerospace and defense industries, is seeking a TIG Welder & Plasma Cutter to join their 1st shift team. The company manufactures mission-critical metal components for highly regulated applications and is opening a new Aerospace and Defense Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (ADAMTeC). Requirements
- Welding experience and/or certification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods
- Must pass welder vision exam
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of production welding experience
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems
- Multi-process welding capabilities
Responsibilities
- Perform precision TIG welding on aluminum and ferrous metals for aerospace and defense components
- Use Plasma cutting equipment to cut & trim metal parts to precise dimensions
- Work to exacting specifications in a NADCAP-accredited facility
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
- Learn to maintain weld quality standards per AS9100 and customer requirements
- Collaborate with welding, quality and engineering teams to ensure mission-critical components meet specifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
