Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in repairs, quality control, inspection, or a similar field.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing root cause analysis and developing effective countermeasures.
  • Familiarity with developing or implementing quality standards.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
  • Experience identifying product defects, weld issues, and specification discrepancies.
  • Experience preparing quality reports, alerts, audits, and inspection documentation.
  • Familiarity with Sales Orders, Bills of Material, warranty processes, or outsourced-part inspection.
  • Experience operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or bridge cranes.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and measure work using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Read labels, tags, identification plates, and stenciled markings to ensure items correspond with requirements.
  • Examine products for surface defects, weld size, weld dimensions, and other quality concerns.
  • Compare units with shipping orders to verify the correct accessories are present.
  • Perform root cause analysis as required and develop appropriate countermeasures.
  • Develop and implement quality standards.
  • Facilitate product improvements through reports, quality alerts, audits, and other quality initiatives.
  • Assist the Warranty Department with product and Sales Order information as required.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, identifying products requiring rework, and confirming completed rework.
  • Document inspection results by completing required reports and logs.
  • Operate hand and power tools, along with a variety of equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Prepare products for final delivery to customers, including cleaning and verifying Bills of Material.
  • May operate material-moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies, and bridge cranes.
  • Inspect outsourced parts for quality and conformance.
