About The Position

In addition to performing all phases of the TIG weld function, this role involves setting up machinery, tools, and parts for job completion. The individual will be responsible for understanding and following all applicable safety policies and procedures, referring to production Manufacturing Process Control Documents (MPCD) for job specifics, and setting up and running jobs as required. This role also includes resolving job-related problems, assisting in the resolution of production, quality, and engineering issues, and ensuring machines are maintained per safety and quality standards. The Associate will also assist with other duties as assigned by their supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years related experience or training.
  • Ability to use quality inspection equipment (calipers, height stand, protractor).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to wear a respirator, as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • MIG/TIG Welding certification preferred.
