About The Position

Sizemore, Inc. is seeking talented individuals to join their team in Edgefield, SC, specifically for a Welder MIG / STICK position. This role is a true temp-to-perm opportunity after 90 days. The company is looking for skilled individuals with previous and hands-on experience performing manual MIG and STICK welding; machine or robotic welding experience does not meet the requirements. The position involves working as a Large & Medium Water Test Welder, performing MIG and Stick welding, conducting water testing on radiators, and supporting quality and safety processes. It is a hands-on, technical role crucial for ensuring radiators meet high performance and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Proficient in MIG and Stick Welding (essential to the role)
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and other required equipment
  • Good reading and math skills
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to braze for minor repairs
  • Able to pass a welding-practical test as part of interview process
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and complete documentation accurately
  • Safety‑minded and quality‑driven
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing leaks and defects
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a production environment
  • Previous MIG & STICK Welding experience is REQUIRED
  • Hands-on experience performing manual MIG and STICK welding (machine or robotic welding experience does not meet the requirements)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background, employment verification and pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens

Responsibilities

  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company safety
  • Use proper PPE and report any unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Comply with quality standards, documents, and inspection procedures
  • Follow all environmental guidelines, including appropriate handling of chemicals and waste
  • Start up and shut down welding machines and fixtures; operate breakers and power controls
  • Operate overhead cranes to move radiators safely
  • Read and interpret tape measures, drawings, and special attachment instructions
  • Perform MIG and Stick welding to add attachments and repair leaks
  • Set up fixtures to accommodate radiator sizes for water testing
  • Conduct water testing to identify leaks and non-conforming conditions
  • Transfer completed radiators to storage and complete all required production/quality documentation
