About The Position

Czarnowski is seeking a welder with experience in various metals (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) and metalworking equipment (bender, grinders, saw, etc.). The candidate must be able to read blueprints and have a minimum of three years of metal shop experience. This role is responsible for all aspects of metal fabrication, from start to finish, for building tradeshow displays. Maintaining high quality standards and accuracy is crucial.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience working in a metal shop.
• Ability to weld aluminum and steel using MIG and TIG welders.
• Basic machining and fabrication skills.
• Capable of reading blueprints and/or other written/oral instructions.
• Ability to create a cut list and track all material used.
• Operates machinery in a safe manner.
• Maintains and produces a high-level quality of output; monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Possesses good time management skills.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures, as well as company policies.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a basic set of tools and welding gear.
• Reliable transportation.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in different types of metals (including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel).
• Experience using multiple types of metal equipment (including bender, grinders, saw, etc.).
• Construction background helpful.
• Exhibit industry and installation experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum and steel using MIG and TIG welders.
• Perform basic machining and fabrication.
• Read blueprints and/or other written/oral instructions to determine fabricating and welding methods.
• Create a cut list and track all material used.
• Operate machinery safely and report hazards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Monitor own work to ensure high-quality output.
• Manage time effectively to complete jobs in a timely manner and within budget.
• Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures, and company policies.
