About The Position

Viewrail is seeking a strong candidate to join our Metal Production Team. The Welder/Metal Fabricator will weld within our post line.

Requirements

• Ability to Mig/Tig Weld (Stainless, Mild, and Aluminum)
• Ability to read and understand prints
• Able to read a tape measure
• Proficient Computer skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Strong sense and drive towards quality and safety in a workplace
• Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box (critical thinking)

• Ability to weld Mild Steel is desired but not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Fabrication experience in grinding and finishing raw material. Mild Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Read a tape measure
• Handle and store welding materials and tools in compliance with company procedures.
• Inspect and test welded surfaces for defects, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, sanding, or cleaning.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair of welding tools and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear such as gloves, helmets, and eye protection.
• Adhere to company quality and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
• All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
