About The Position

We are looking for a talented Welder IV to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fletcher, NC. This role requires comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. The Welder IV will work with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment. A thorough understanding of protocols for working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment is essential. This position also acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others and requires the ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change in the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Stopping work and reporting major injury hazards immediately to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards to ensure timely interventions and promote overall workplace health.
  • Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain high safety and environmental standards.
  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment and promoting interdependence by looking out for one another to enhance team safety.
  • Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, and performing quality inspections to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and supporting equipment failure analysis to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Working with peers and support staff to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and improve processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicating effectively with your team and participating in training and development to foster a collaborative and skilled workforce.
