About The Position

This is a full-time permanent paid position for a Welder III who has passed the Weld 3 test. Welding qualification is initially limited to horizontal (2F) and vertical (3F) fillet welds until fillet weld break tests are passed. After passing these tests, the welder may perform tack welds in groove welds. Welding is exclusively FCAW. The role requires the ability to weld in the 2F and 3F positions without supervision once expectations are established, and to perform tack welds with a fitter. Responsibilities include selecting and setting up welding equipment, basic troubleshooting, and inspecting fillet welds (2F/3F) and performing basic repairs to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. The position also requires the ability to weld to Reasonable Expectations (RE's) after a specified training period, follow instructions, establish working relationships, maintain acceptable attendance, and work overtime as needed. The work environment is a heavy industrial worksite, subject to outdoor elements and extreme weather conditions, with exposure to air particles, dust, chemicals, and loud noises.
