About The Position
Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components. Fabricates and assembles metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. Produces metal products according to specifications. Reads and interprets diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects. Sets up, operates, and maintains welding equipment.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic ability to read engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Requires precision control and dexterity.
- Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
