About The Position

This position involves performing welding operations in accordance with established procedures and specifications. Primary duties include setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment, interpreting blueprints and drawings, and ensuring the quality of welded components. The role requires proficiency in welding various materials using different techniques and may involve assisting in training other employees. Quality control and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Welder or similar role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in welding operations.
  • Proficiency in MIG, and TIG welding techniques required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in welding operations.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and practices in welding operations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with other welding processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performing welding operations in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment.
  • Interpreting blueprints and drawings, and ensuring the quality of welded components.
  • Interpreting and working from detailed blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Operating a variety of welding equipment and tools.
  • Welding various materials (e.g., steel, aluminum) using different welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG).
  • Assisting in training other welding employees.
  • Ensuring quality control and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
