About The Position

Global- a 1st Flagship Company, a woman-owned small business and a leader in Marine Support Services and Emergency Management, is seeking a Welder Helper to join their team. As a trusted Prime Contractor for the Department of Navy since 1964, Global manages, operates, and maintains the U.S. Navy Inactive Ship fleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on military vessels such as destroyers and aircraft carriers in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Requirements

• General knowledge of welding terminology and work processes
• Qualified PSNS Fire watch
• A valid state driver's license
• One (1) year of relevant experience assisting a tradesman or relevant experience in the military
• Position requires a Trusted Agent Security Clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen per Inactive Shipoff Instruction 5500.3B of May 13

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cleans up the work area.
• Operates various machinery and equipment under supervision.
• Follow safety, fire and other regulations and maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to policies, and procedures in the execution of all responsibilities.
• Must be able to always work effectively with co-workers in a professional manner.
• All other duties assigned.
