About The Position

Midwest Hose is seeking a dependable and hardworking Welding Department Helper to assist with daily fabrication and finishing operations. This position supports the welding team by preparing materials, polishing and grinding finished products, palletizing completed work, and operating saw equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or shop experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and industrial equipment
• Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and work quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• Forklift operating experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Polish and grind welded assemblies and metal components
• Palletize finished products for shipping or storage
• Operate saw and grinding equipment to cut materials to specifications
• Assist welders and fabrication personnel with production tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies
• Move materials and parts throughout the production area as needed
