About The Position

Prepares site for daily work, performs all housekeeping and duties necessary for daily activities. Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation. The level and degree of job responsibilities and requirements vary depending on months of experience and assigned job step. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by supervision.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and previous years of related experience
Ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation
Ability to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surface
Ability to assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and work pieces during installation
Ability to perform routine maintenance or repairs
Ability to observe load hook up and determine safety of load
Ability to inspect crane for defective parts, document and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions
Ability to load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies
Ability to perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
Ability to interpret load charts
Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Ability to work under immediate supervision
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Ability to assist other craft workers as needed
Ability to perform other routine duties as directed

Responsibilities

Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed
May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surface
