About The Position
WF Steel & Crane Ltd is a leading fabricator of structural steel and overhead cranes located south of Edmonton in the Nisku Industrial Park, Alberta. With a proven history that spans over 30 years, we are renowned for our safety, quality, service, and innovative approaches and we are proud to be a privately owned and operated Canadian company. An opportunity currently exists for Journeyman & Apprentice Fitters/Welders to join our Fabrication crew (Day shift & Night Shift. Night Shift Premium is an additional $3.00 per hour). We offer a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and benefits (after probationary period). The position is based in Nisku, Alberta.
Requirements
- CWB certified in MCAW (other CWB tickets considered an asset)
- Highly developed communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Reliable and punctual
- Availability to work overtime hours
- A diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required
- The ability to work in a safety sensitive role at all times
Responsibilities
- Fitting and welding experience with Metal core
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints
- Experience with operating overhead cranes
