About The Position

The Welder/Fitter fabricates and welds heavy industrial structural steel equipment and components. Candidates must follow shop drawings, interpret welding symbols, and meet the required welding test standards. This contract-to-hire opportunity may lead to full-time employment based on performance and business needs. The role offers a starting pay of $24.00 per hour, with potential for higher pay depending on experience. Overtime is available, with approximately 50–56 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed, on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Workdays are 10 hours, with overtime as required.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
• Ability to pass a full-penetration vertical weld test.
• Ability to pass an overhead fillet weld test.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and AWS weld symbols.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must provide personal welding and safety equipment, including a welding helmet, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
