About The Position

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is a leader in shot blast innovation, experiencing continuous year-over-year growth. We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter for our 2nd shift, offering a 4-day work week with a $3.00 shift premium. We are a growing manufacturing powerhouse with over 330 employees, located in a historic West Allis location that has undergone significant investment and refurbishment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
  • Ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Ability to make decisions and follow through.
  • Proficiency in multiple welding disciplines including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Welding certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal and team safety in the work environment.
  • Perform welding on various thicknesses and materials including AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese using appropriate filler metals.
  • Independently perform fitting/assembling tasks and train others.
  • Demonstrate expertise in open table fitting/welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Follow directions from leads or leaders for daily tasks.
  • Identify and select appropriate tools and machinery for production tasks.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on department machinery.
  • Provide support and backup as needed for projects and tasks.
  • Support and drive BCT's Culture and Core Values.
