About The Position

This position will support all functions of the operation including the operation of various types of welding and fabricating equipment. The role requires the ability to fit complex parts for inspection prior to final weld, gauge and inspect parts as required, and palletize finished parts. The Welder/Fitter will also perform quality documentation sign-offs, support production operations by ensuring the smooth flow of material, and be actively involved in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement initiatives. Adherence to 5S practices and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment are essential. This is a second shift position requiring flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Must have mig welding experience with materials including carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Blueprint reading and the ability to comprehend engineering drawings, tolerances and general dimensional information.
• Capable of fixture design and setup.
• Perform quality inspections and follow ISO guidelines for product traceability.
