About The Position

The Welder / Facility Maintenance position performs preventive maintenance, fabrication welding, refurbishes refuse containers and compactors, rehabilitates scuffed paint, installs decals and ensures accurate repair and replacement of components. This position is responsible for keeping the surrounding container yard organized and inventoried daily. The starting hourly rate for this position is $23-$25 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Equipment maintenance and repair experience
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the US
Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven commitment to work
Dedication to safety
Welding and fabrication skills
Self-directed person

Responsibilities

Performs repairs on all sizes and types of containers and compactors including on the road repairs.
Performs inspections on all welding and cutting equipment to ensure safe operating procedures
Maintain inventory record keeping and assuring adequate material to complete all assigned work efficiently.
Maintains a clean, safe work area to ensure compliance with company and OSHA requirements and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostic and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
Assists maintenance technicians in the completion of project work.
Performs preventative maintenance services on all trailer assets.
Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
Maintains the facility’s container yard. Specifically organizing all containers and ensuring repairs are completed in a consistent and timely manner.
