About The Position

Haakon Industries, a global leader in custom-designed and manufactured HVAC units, is seeking driven individuals to join our team as a Welder/Fabricator. This role plays an essential part in our production process, using power tools and welding expertise to help deliver the highest quality products. Requirements

• 1 year of manufacturing experience (Required)
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and performing mathematical calculations
• Experience operating air and electric hand tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adhere to all safety protocols and use proper PPE
• Reliable transportation is required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of welding experience (Preferred)
• CWB welding certification

Responsibilities

• Assemble and construct bases for HVAC units according to blueprints and fabrication packages
• Complete MIG welding as required for base fabrication and work towards obtaining your CWB welding certification to complete structural welds
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during base assembly, such as alignment problems, missing parts or measurement discrepancies
• Engage in demanding physical tasks to support production activities
• Stand, walk, crawl, lift and carry heavy items as required to support production
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes
• Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision
• Operate air and electric hand tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively
• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
• Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adhere to all safety protocols, ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a clean and organized work environment
