Welder/Fabricator
About The Position
This role involves putting welding and fabrication skills to work on custom projects where every day brings new challenges. The position is with a small team focused on quality craftsmanship. AW Welding specializes in custom welding, fabrication, installation, and repair work for the sawmill industry. Requirements
- At least one year of welding or fabrication experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Mechanical experience
- Can read fabrication drawings or blueprints (preferred)
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willing to obtain a DOT physical if needed
- Can lift up to 75 pounds
- Can bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Can safely climb ladders and scaffolding
- Can work at heights
- Can perform indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Can read fabrication drawings or blueprints
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom components and sawmill equipment using MIG, Stick, and other welding processes to deliver quality craftsmanship.
- Install new equipment and complete repairs at customer locations while delivering dependable, professional service.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, measurements, and work orders to complete each project accurately.
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Travel primarily to local customer job sites, with occasional travel throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states, including occasional overnight travel.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites using company vehicles and trailers as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established safety practices.
- Represent AW Welding with professionalism by building positive relationships and providing quality workmanship on every job.
