About The Position

Openwork is hiring an experienced Welder/Fabricator for an established industrial manufacturing company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This full-time, first-shift role focuses on structural fitting, fabrication, blueprint interpretation, and welding steel and aluminum components from detailed engineering drawings. It is a fabrication-focused position, requiring the ability to carry projects from initial drawings through fitting, fabrication, assembly, and final welding; weld-out experience alone does not meet the qualifications. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime as needed based on production demands. Pay is $23–$27 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must have at least five years of welding and fabrication experience, strong structural fitting skills, and experience with multiple welding processes. Applicants must successfully pass a weld test after the interview process. Welding certification is preferred but not required. The work takes place in an industrial manufacturing and fabrication environment, involving regular work with structural steel and aluminum and hands-on use of welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment. The position requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and physical activity, as well as safely handling and positioning materials and following PPE, welding safety, and workplace safety procedures. Long-term employment potential is noted.
