1st and 2nd Shift Welder / Fabricator

About The Position

Wil-Ro, Inc. manufactures truck bodies for landscaping, hauling, construction, equipment distribution, and farming. The Welder / Fabricator performs MIG welding and related fabrication work on steel components according to blueprints, drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This is a full-time position available on either the 1st shift (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) or the 2nd shift (2:15 p.m.–10:45 p.m.). The work involves physically demanding tasks and exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions. Pay is based on experience.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Ability to safely perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication work.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist; and repeatedly climb ladders, stairs, platforms, and structures.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights as required.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to maintain the body positions needed for overhead, horizontal, vertical, and confined-space welding.
Ability to use hands and arms continuously to operate welding equipment, grinders, and hand tools.
Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmets, gloves, respirators, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
Ability to work around heat, sparks, fumes, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
Reliable attendance and ability to perform physically demanding work regularly.

Responsibilities

MIG weld steel components according to blueprint and drawing specifications.
Safely perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication activities to specifications and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
Maintain reliable attendance and regularly perform physically demanding work.
