About The Position
This role involves fabricating pre-designed pieces for truck bodies using common metalworking tools. The welder will cut, fit, and weld pieces together to create a functional product, adhering to nominal specifications. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting build sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions to ensure correct construction. The position also requires assisting in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Welder
- Experience with a variety of welding equipment and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents and drawings
- Understanding of all health and safety guidelines
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Fabricate pre-designed pieces for truck bodies using common metalworking tools (tape measure, angle grinder, plasma cutter, drill, flap disc, etc.)
- Cut, fit and weld pieces of truck bodies together to create a functional and finished product with nominal specifications.
- Read and interpret dimensions and designs from a build sheet, blueprints, or verbal instructions to ensure the product is built correctly.
- Assist in other departments when needed.
