About The Position

Klute is seeking dedicated welders to join their weekend crew. This role involves building precision steel components for substation and transmission line projects. The position offers a 3-day workweek (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM), providing 36 hours of work with four days off each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a $1.50/hour weekend premium and bonus pay after long shifts. Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with GMAW welds.
Ability to use tape measures and other measuring devices.
Ability to be certified in the use of an overhead crane.
Ability to perform operations in a safe and productive manner.
Ability to report unsafe conditions and product quality issues.
Ability to keep work area clean and orderly.
Ability to complete paperwork for tracking of product.

Nice To Haves

AAS in welding is preferred but not a deal-breaker.
5+ years of experience in a similar setting is also preferred.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints to lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
Make adjustments to produce quality products to specific dimensions.
Operate a fork truck to move material between workstations.
Perform processes including Oxy-Fuel cutting, grinding, handheld plasma cutting, GMAW welding, and use of hand tools.
Use tape measures and other measuring devices to ensure correct part placement before welding.
Be certified in the use of an overhead crane.
Conform to all company policies and perform operations in a safe and productive manner.
Report all unsafe conditions and product that does not meet quality standards to the lead or supervisor.
Keep work area clean and orderly at all times.
Complete paperwork for tracking of product.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
