About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting in the fabrication of parts, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring a safe and clean work area. The welder will perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, complete production and quality documentation, and maintain acceptable weld appearance and production rates. Quality checks are essential to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and production expectations. The position requires operating and maintaining a MIG welder and ensuring welder certification is current.

Able to complete all documents pertaining to the process
Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
Read a tape measure to within 1/16”
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
Able to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as needed
Maintain the required welder certification within the skill level

Nice To Haves

A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the fabrication of parts

Complete all production and quality documentation
Maintain acceptable weld appearance
Maintain and operate a mig welder
Maintain acceptable production rate within the skill level
Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations
Assist in other areas of the shop when needed
