This role supports the fabrication department through welding, fabrication, bending, and shearing.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding and fabricating.
Forklift Certification
Able to read measuring tape and ruler and follow basic blueprints
Knowledge of shop mathematics
Ability to use a computer
Highly proficient in Heavy MiG, Tig, and Stick welding in both flat and out of position techniques.
Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Check raw material for dimensional accuracy and quantity record.
Fit and weld fabrications to print tolerance.
Operate Shear Machine, Press Brake and Pinch Roll.
Operate overhead crane and welding machines.
Straighten and finish grind fabricated assemblies.
Design and build Jigs and Fixtures to save time and ensure accurate positioning of components.
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
Troubleshoot defects and provide quality output according to production schedules.
Repair or modify components as needed.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
