About The Position

This is an entry-level welding position responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. All work is completed with close supervision. The role requires adherence to company safety and quality standards, learning company policies and procedures, and performing basic manufacturing assignments with set standards. The individual will follow detailed instructions, problem-solve simple issues, perform measurements within specified tolerances, learn to read blueprints, and work effectively with others while maintaining prompt and dependable attendance.

Requirements

Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
General knowledge of equipment and operations.
Basic understanding of Weld symbols.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred.
1 year of welding experience preferred.
