About The Position
This job is for someone who works with metal using welding and cutting tools. The worker will cut, weld, shape, and paint metal parts and products.
Requirements
- Know how to safely use welding and cutting tools
- Be able to read blueprints, drawings, and instructions
- Understand measurements and basic math
- Pay attention to detail and follow directions carefully
Nice To Haves
- Trade school training in welding or related work experience preferred
- Experience using measuring tools like tape measures and calipers is helpful
Responsibilities
- Weld and cut metal using different tools and machines
- Repair and build metal equipment and products
- Make sure metal parts do not bend, overheat, or get damaged during welding
- Put metal pieces together and prepare them for welding
- Keep tools, machines, and the work area clean and organized
- Help with other tasks when needed
