About The Position

Eaton's IS AER FED division is seeking a Welder - Electron Beam to join their team in Bethel, CT. The facility is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace industry, specializing in components for commercial, military, and space technologies. The role primarily supports the Electron Beam Weld area but offers rotations within the weld department for learning and growth.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience required, aerospace preferred.
• Previous EB (electron beam) weld experience or certification
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to qualify to AWSD17.1
• Ability to work overtime.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum baking
• Performing some TIG welding
• Assembling, setup, and maintaining tooling
• Vibro-etch
• Performing leak testing operations
• Operating heat treat and furnace brazing equipment
• Backfilling and bomb testing
• Spot welding
• Maintaining quality records
• Operating EB welding systems
• Setting up and monitoring weld parameters and schedules
• Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols
• Working under NADCAP and AS9100
• Supporting inspection/NDT and documentation
