About The Position

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for performing welding and construction duties associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of natural gas mains, services and related facilities.

Requirements

High school education or G.E.D. equivalency.
Possess or acquire a valid commercial motor vehicle driver’s license appropriate for the position. (NOTE: Must be 21 to acquire a CDL valid for interstate travel.)
Ability to use standard pipe tools and operate power-driven pipeline construction equipment.
May be required to use self-contained breathing apparatus in response to gas-related emergencies.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Two (2) year of credited hours as a Welder B and satisfactory performance (for Welder Combination A).

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year of experience in welding natural gas lines.
Knowledge of natural gas construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing welding and construction duties associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of natural gas mains, services and related facilities.
Taking all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Providing test welds as prescribed in Company policy and procedure that pass state and federal code requirements for oxygen acetylene or electric arc welds for pipeline welding to obtain and retain classification.
Passing periodic welding certification tests in both oxygen acetylene and electric arc welds to retain classification.
