About The Position

High Concrete Group LLC is seeking high school or college students for a Co-Op opportunity to work at their High Concrete Group in the Weld Shop. This position is ideal for students currently enrolled in a Welding education program. The role involves hands-on experience with various welding and fabrication tasks, providing a learning opportunity within the precast industry.

Requirements

• Must be a high school or college student, at least 16 years of age
• Coursework and/or enrollment in welding and/or metal fabrication program required
• The ability to learn and use tools, prints and measuring instruments necessary
• Basic math and measurement skills
• High school students under 18 must present proof of CTC/CTE program enrollment to be granted an interview

• Familiarity reading blue prints a plus

Responsibilities

• Cutting rebar
• Bending rebar
• Cutting plates
• MIG welding
• Gas welding
• Welding bare metal to bare metal
• Learning different machines
• Supporting the weld group
