About The Position

Orthman Conveying Systems is looking for skilled, dependable welders to join our growing manufacturing team in Cleburne, Texas! If you have experience with MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), can read blueprints, and take pride in producing quality welds, we want to hear from you. We manufacture industrial conveying equipment used across a variety of industries and are looking for individuals who value craftsmanship, safety, teamwork, and getting the job done right.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of welding and fabrication experience, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
• Experience with MIG and Flux-Cored welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Working knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong attention to weld quality, fit-up, and dimensional accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet production expectations.
• AWS certification or ability to obtain certification within one year.
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) with limited supervision.
• Weld and fabricate components using carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication instructions.
• Prepare, fit, tack, and weld materials according to specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot welding equipment.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and accuracy.
• Identify and correct welding defects and fabrication issues.
• Assist in training and mentoring less-experienced welders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
