About The Position

The Welder 4 & Lead Hand is responsible for production welding of standard and custom products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role includes fabrication from supplied drawings, development of custom jigs and fixtures, and ensuring production parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• AWS Ticketed Welder, ITA Level 2 Welder, or equivalent B Pressure ticket
• 8+ years of welding and fabrication experience
• Minimum 3 years of production GMAW welding experience
• Minimum 2 years of fitting and fabrication experience
• Strong understanding of weld symbols and engineering drawings
• Ability to read, interpret, and sketch technical drawings and blueprints
• Must be eligible to meet Controlled Goods Program requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with basic non-destructive testing considered an asset
• CWB and DNC certifications considered an asset
• Forklift certification considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding of carbon steel using .045 metal core wire
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure product functionality and design intent
• Fit and fabricate custom products and structures
• Monitor fabrication quality and follow processes to report non-conformance
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and escalate as required
• Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and safe work practices
• Support production requirements and complete additional duties as assigned
