About The Position

This position is responsible for technical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical support, troubleshooting, and repair of all Plant welding and assembly equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in an environment with welding fumes from robots
  • Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
  • A sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory
  • Robot programming and troubleshooting of the following equipment: FANUC and/or ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI, KUKA
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills
  • Able to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical components and schematics
  • Can troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems
  • Can troubleshoot, repair, and program resistance and MIG welding equipment
  • Perform basic machining
  • Perform required Preventive Maintenance checks & related data, assuring any related documentation is filled out properly
  • Complete required logs and repair documentation, assuring is legible and accurate
  • Knowledge of safety lockout
  • Work independently
  • Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with Quality System requirements
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs., twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings
  • Related Work Experience – Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing welding maintenance
  • Minimum Education – H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems
  • Identifying and troubleshooting production problems
  • Maintaining production lines and performing predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Supporting daily production, addressing downtime expediently
  • Resetting faults, replacing sensors, cords, caps, shunts, etc., in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all automatic nut/stud feeders are stocked, verifying correct Part # and free of debris before filling machine
  • Ensuring all Sealer/Adhesive is working properly, purged as required, and replaced when needed
  • Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices along with all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Complying with all Quality System procedures, ensuring Red Rabbits are run and recorded each shift, properly communicating any abnormal event if required to appropriate personnel
  • Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions
  • Demonstrating good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by Managers, Supervisor and/or Leaders to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes and work
