About The Position
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high-quality tooling and supporting production efficiency. As a Weld Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing paint jig tooling to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Completion of a welding skills assessment (used to establish baseline skill level)
- Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills to support production schedules
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning operations for paint jig tooling, including operating industrial power washers and using paint stripping ovens.
- Conduct gauging, maintenance, and repair of paint jig tooling.
- Utilize metal fabrication tools and welding skills to complete repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to develop and maintain cleaning schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tooling condition, maintenance, and repairs.
- Communicate tooling status, concerns, and improvement opportunities to the team.
