About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Weld Technician at its Troy, Illinois facility. The role focuses on the quality and precision of welded components. The technician reads and interprets engineering drawings and welding symbols, performs quality inspections, and collaborates with a cross-functional team of skilled welders. Equipment used includes robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig welding equipment.

Core hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and may be mandatory. Pay starts at $25.44 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential, and follows a wage progression schedule to $27.40 per hour after 12 months. The listed pay is a general guideline and may depend on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Candidates must have at least six months of manufacturing experience. Applicants must be within 50 miles of Troy, Illinois, except active-duty military service member candidates, who are exempt from the geographic limitation. No relocation benefit or employment immigration sponsorship is offered for this position.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use a tape measure and calipers.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including helmets, aprons, sleeves, and gloves.
• Must be within a 50-mile radius of Troy, Illinois, unless an active-duty military service member candidate.
