Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
  • Set up operational parameters on the machine and monitor. Make corrections as needed.
  • Positions, aligns, and fits components using advanced circular welding techniques.
  • Welds fabricated, cast, and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
  • Performs first inspections to verify setup and quality before production runs.
  • Monitor and inspect product quality to identify visual and structural defects, utilizing required gauges and established inspection criteria.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as handheld screw guns, drill guns, and grinders.
  • Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding tools.
  • Operation of lifting devices as needed.
  • Looks for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
  • Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
  • Shut down the process if unsafe.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
