The client's Body Production Engineering Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Chassis Seibi Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to support new model Chassis Seibi project activities. Canada and Mexico NAMCs, including the inspection and confirmation of new or modified equipment and the preparation of that equipment for manufacturing production. Reporting to the Chassis Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Body Chassis Production Engineering Department's objective to deploy or modify welding equipment to facilitate the new model launch and support manufacturing production changes while meeting all targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. This person will foster an environment of good communication, problem-solving, kaizen, team safety, and standardized work adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Offline and/or online robot programming.
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended.
  • Prepare and confirm new Body Chassis equipment at the vendors.
  • Support Body Chassis Seibi activity at NAMCs from installation to the start of production.
  • Participate in effective written and verbal communication with Machine Seibi Team Members, Project Leaders, Management, and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution.
  • Promote teamwork and conduct On The Job Training (OJT) with 'hands-on' tasks.
  • Support Chassis Seibi projects and engage in travel (or dispatch) to Canada, and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel, including Japan, Canada, and Mexico.
