About The Position

The Weld Seibi Technician will be responsible for performing offline and/or online robot programming, ensuring new model equipment meets set standards, and supporting Body Chassis Seibi activities from installation to the start of production. This role involves travel to various locations, including international sites, and requires a passionate and highly motivated approach to project activities. The technician will also inspect and confirm new or modified equipment, support welding equipment deployment for new model launches, and contribute to meeting targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience.
  • High school diploma or technical background.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to various locations including Kentucky, Indiana, and international locations such as Japan, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Eligibility for international travel.
  • Availability for significant overtime, including weekends and holidays (average 50 hours per week).
  • Willingness to attend in-person interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Perform offline and/or online robot programming.
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended.
  • Prepare and confirm new Body Chassis equipment at vendor locations.
  • Support Body Chassis Seibi activity from installation to the start of production.
  • Participate in effective written and verbal communication with team members, project leaders, management, and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution.
  • Promote teamwork and conduct On The Job Training (OJT) with hands-on tasks.
  • Support Chassis Seibi projects and engage in travel to various manufacturing centers and suppliers.
  • Inspect and confirm new or modified equipment and prepare equipment for manufacturing production.
  • Support the objective to deploy or modify welding equipment to facilitate new model launches.
  • Support manufacturing production changes while meeting targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Foster an environment of good communication, problem-solving, kaizen, team safety, and standardized work adherence.
