Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
3-5 years in relevant work experience
Certified in MIG and/or TIG welding
Has high standards of performance for self. Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes. Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
Able to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks as assigned
Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress. Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.

Is at work when scheduled and ensures coverage when absent

Responsibilities

Repair parts/components that are non-conforming to customer specification by welding, grinding, or other methods as required.
Operate a spot-welding machine to join or repair sheet metal/steel parts or components.
Calibrate welding equipment.
Maintain tools in good working order.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Tag parts.
Move parts to correct location in the plant/facility.
Participate in preventative actions where appropriate.
Utilization of plexus (ERP system).
Conduct housekeeping for personal work area or shared facility space.
Maintain welding equipment.
Updates and relays pertinent information to shift supervisor and oncoming shift.
